When cooking I always try to use the best tasting ingredients possible. Better ingredients = a great tasting dish! For this easy-to-make quiche I used King Arthur Flour and Cabot Garlic & Herb cheese (both samples).
Garlic & Herb Quiche
Filling:
Ingredients
4 eggs
6 fluid oz. fat-free half-and-half (about 3/4 cup)
1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
6 oz. Cabot Garlic & Herb Cheddar Cheese, shredded
pepper to taste (a dash)
Directions
Make King Arthur’s Pie Crust first (optional: add cheese to the mixture if you want a cheesy-tasting crust). When removed from refrigerator, roll crust until flat and place in a 9″ pie pan.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place all 4 eggs in a bowl and whisk until foamy. Add half-and-half to your eggs and gently mix with whisk. Add green onions and Cabot Garlic & Herb Cheddar Cheese until ingredients are evenly combined. Pour egg mixture into prepared pie crust, top crust with a pie crust shield or aluminum foil to prevent the crust from burning. Place dish in the oven for 30 minutes or until middle does not jiggle and toothpick comes out clean (place toothpick in the center to determine if the middle is cooked throughout).
